Growing in Faith

What does it mean to follow Jesus Christ?

Being a follower of Jesus is an invitation into a way of living in which we are learning to love God with our whole heart and mind and to love others as God loves us.

The mission of The United Methodist Church is to make disciples for Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. At Cornerstone UMC, we seek to accomplish this by growing into the likeness of Christ. We believe this happens through the spiritual practices of PRAYERS, PRESENCE, GIFTS, SERVICE and WITNESS.

PRAYER

We are called to connect with God through prayer. Prayer helps us align our hearts and minds with the will of God.

SERVICE

As recipients of God’s love and grace, we are called to help others, especially those unable to help themselves.

PRESENCE

We are called to gather to worship, learn, connect, and serve. We also experience community and support along the way.

WITNESS

We are called to make love and grace the hallmark of our lives. We genuinely care about others.

GIFTS

We are called to be generous with our financial resources to support the mission and ministry of the church.
