Cornerstone Youth

All youth grades 6 to 12 are welcome and supported at Cornerstone UMC! Regardless of the school youth attend, they’ll find Cornerstone Youth to be a great place to make friendships while having fun.

“I have so much fun at Cornerstone Youth! The students and adults are super nice and I really like that I can be myself.” - Samantha

Sunday Youth Group

Youth grades 6 to 12 gather on Sundays from 10:30a to 11:30a for games, relevant conversations, snacks, and fun. All of this happens in a super cool space known as The Edge. This large room is dedicated to the Cornerstone Youth program and is one of the best locations in the entire building.

When arriving on Sunday mornings, youth have free time to play foosball, basketball, ping pong, and other games. They can also hang out on couches and chairs. Youth then gather for ice breakers and low-key conversations about life and faith. After some snacks, Youth can add prayer requests to the Youth Prayer Wall.

Special Youth Activities

About once per quarter, Cornerstone Youth holds special events where youth can gather for a meal and several hours of games, activities, and fun. We also get together for occasional community service projects.

7th graders and older are also invited to learn more about the Christian faith through a multi-week Confirmation program. At the end, youth have the option of being confirmed as professing members of the church.

Youth Safety

Cornerstone UMC follows a program called Safe Gatherings. Adult leaders go through background screenings, reference checks, as well as specialized training to help ensure the safety and protection of all minors. Our policy is that an adult should never be alone with a minor during church-sponsored activities.

Volunteer with Youth

If your an adult who would like to volunteer with Cornerstone Youth, the first step is to become Safe Gatherings Certified. This process is completed online through Safe Gatherings. After that is complete, please contact youth@csofallon.org for next steps.
